Just like her heart, our love for Celine Dion will always go on! The talented diva hit the stage with finalist Tessanne during the Dec. 17 ‘Voice’ finale, delivering a heartfelt performance that has us seriously longing for the ’90s.
The Voice has become famous for delivering dynamic vocal performances on a weekly basis, but the singing competition took things a step further when they brought back one of music’s longest-reigning divas, Celine Dion, for its Dec. 17 Season 5 finale. Celine Dion & Tessanne Chin Perform On ‘The Voice’
Tessanne Chin called Celine a woman she’s always looked up to, so when she found out she’d be taking the stage with her, she absolutely broke down!
The two ladies joined on stage looking better than ever (seriously, how is Celine already 45), singing Celine’s ’92 hit! The uplifting, fun hit was a perfect anthem for the three Voice finalists, since it was a song that changed its time and became one that everyone knows — just like one of the winners will do after winning!
While Celine is one of the best singers of all time, Tessanne held her own and impressed once again with her killer voice.
Tessanne Chin Tell Us: Celine Dion Is My Idol
After the final performances Dec. 16, Tessanne talked to HollywoodLife.com exclusively about her love of Celine.
“She is my idol! I remember watching everything she has done since I was a 12-year-old girl,” she told us. “She is a woman that I hold regard for. I want to thank her for inspiring me and making me feel that this is possible. Her story is such a story — she is so inspiring with 14 brothers and sisters and living a very modest lifestyle and look at her now! She has everything! She is a mommy and a wife, and that is something I want in my life. I want that balance!”
