More tragic news for Waka Flocka Flame â€" the ‘Round of Applause’ rapper lost his younger brother Kayo Redd on Dec. 29.
Waka Flocka Flame has endured a lot of tragedy in his life, and now the death of his younger brother Kayo Redd has the rapper in mourning â€" again. Read all about it below the jump.
Kayo Redd Dead At 27
So terrible. Kayo Redd was in the midst of creating his own rap career and was even promoting it when he died on Dec. 29. “Make Sure You Go Vote & Download My Latest Mixtape Redd Kisses: http://brev.is/0R57Â #YNS #ReddKisses,” his final tweet said. Rolling Stone reports that the cause of his death has not been officially released; some reports say it was a shooting in his old neighborhood, and others have mentioned suicide. In fact, an alleged tweet from Waka himself said that it was suicide, but that tweet was quickly removed and is no longer visible in the rapper’s feed.
Wacka did reach out on Twitter after Kayo’s death, first saying “God please bless me” then linking to a photo collage of Kayo:

Waka Flocka’s Tragic History
Unfortunately, losing loved ones has become all too familiar for the 27-year-old rapper.  He lost another brother in a car accident when he was 13, and in 2011 a member of Waka’s Brick Squad Monopoly crew was murdered during an argument in a recording studio.
