Thanks to her grueling ‘Sound of Music’ schedule, Carrie might be losing one of her favorite things, hubby, Mike, according to a shocking new report!
It was no small feat for Carrie Underwood to star in The Sound of Music Live! which aired on NBC Dec. 5th, but holding on to her marriage to hockey star, Mike Fisher, may prove to be even harder.
The Sound Of Music: Trouble For Carrie Underwood’s Marriage
Carrie, 30, definitely has a lot going for her. Not only can she sing like an angel, which was immediately clear when she belted her first note on American Idol, but her recent stint as Maria von Trapp on NBC’s The Sound of Music Live, proved, despite criticism, that she has acting chops too. Plus, her performance has now reached nearly 22 million viewers!
However, this blessing may in fact be a curse, because it has reportedly put distance between herself and Mike, according to Star.
“Between his schedule with the Nashville Predators and her rehearsals, they barely saw each other the last three months,” a friend of Carrie’s revealed to Star, “When they did steal some alone time, Carrie was wiped out physically and emotionally. The ordeal left Mike feeling neglected and ignored.”
That is so sad! It’s rough seeing how Carrie’s success and exciting undertaking of stepping into musical theatre for the first time, possibly had a negative impact on her personal life. She really doesn’t deserve this!
Carrie Underwood Promised Mike Fisher A Family
Unfortunately, it doesn’t end there. Apparently, the only reason that Mike dealt with Carrie being so absent over the course of rehearsing for the musical, was because Carrie promised that afterwards, the couple would finally start a family. But currently, with so many offers coming Carrie’s way for more musical theatre roles, the prospect of a baby right now looks dim, says Star‘s source, and Mike, 33, is not taking this news well.
“Mike is fuming,” the source explains, “Carrie is thrilled about all the opportunities but she’s very conflicted and confused. She and Mike are barely speaking.”
The source even adds, “Neither of them are happy, and this dilemma could spell the end to what used to be a dream marriage.”
Such a bummer, especially considering that this drama is coming from something positive: Carrie’s success in The Sound of Music. Hopefully the couple will be able to find a family/work/life balance and come out of this as a strong and united husband and wife. Perhaps with the holidays happening, they will be inspired to stay hopeful and climb this mountain.
