Demi Lovato made the big decision to leave her gig judging X Factor after two successful seasons – but she told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY on Dec. 18 that she made her decision because she is eager to “start a new chapter” in her music career — to go on tour and even work on a new album!

Demi, 21, is excited for her career’s future! “I’m leaving to start a new chapter in my life,” Demi told HollywoodLife.com about her decision to leave the show. ”I started the show being a singer and a musician and it is time to go back to that.”
Demi loved her time on the show, but she’s looking forward to trying out other new projects, too! “It has been really great but I’m so excited because 2014 I’m going to dedicated entirely to music, touring and making a new album. Possibly releasing one,” she revealed to us. “I’m really, really focused and excited.”

Leaving the show is bittersweet for Demi, because she loved getting to mentor the contestants and spark their music careers!
