Demi Lovato Is ‘Furious’ About Insensitive ‘X Factor’ Segment

Demi Lovato Is ‘Furious’ About Insensitive ‘X Factor’ Segment

Demi is livid with ‘X Factor’ producers after they aired a segment ridiculing the star for drinking ‘Annoying Juice.’ Demi, who felt the skit carelessly ‘mocked’ her alcohol addiction, looked visibly upset while watching it on the show — and now we know that she is still fuming off-screen!

Demi Lovato, 21, was reportedly “blindsided” by a skit that showed old footage of the singer and X Factor judge slurping various beverages that had been superimposed with a neon green light. But even though Demi, who recently opened up about her past drug and alcohol issues, is taking the skit to heart, the producers didn’t mean any harm, sources tell HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

Demi Lovato On ‘X-Factor’ Drinking Joke — ‘Furious’ Over Drinking Problem Skit

Demi was caught on camera dropping the F-bomb when she first saw the segment during The X Factor‘s season three finale, and she is still “furious” and “extremely upset because addiction has turned her life upside down,” TMZ reports.

Obviously addiction is nothing to take lightly, and the producers, who are well aware of Demi’s troubled past, should have known better.

“She has had no issues with producers before,” a source close to the show tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “They were making a joke and didn’t intend for her to get so angry. She’s making it more of a big deal then intended.”

Hopefully the producers will apologize to Demi so she can put this humiliating experience behind her and look back on her X Factor days fondly.

Demi Lovato Leaving ‘X Factor,’ Simon Cowell Confirms

While we’re told that Demi’s decision to leave The X Factor after season three has nothing to do with her relationship with the show’s producers, this incident will probably make it easier for her to say goodbye. Although we’re sure she’ll miss her frenemy Simon Cowell, who confirmed the news of her departure to HollywoodLife.com.

“I knew she wasn’t coming back because she’s [going to be] touring,” Simon told us on Dec. 18. ”We always knew that. Two seasons was good.”

So HollywoodLifers, do you think Demi should forgive X Factor producers for airing this insensitive segment? Let us know!
