Who’s up for a little love and basketball!? After dating for about four years, the Miami Heat baller proposed to his actress girlfriend on Dec. 20 — and she said yes!
Looks like Gabrielle Union and her basketball boyfriend (well, not anymore!) Dwyane Wade have a lot to celebrate heading into Christmas. The two announced their engagement on Dec. 20 when Gabrielle posted a picture of her very gorgeous, very huge ring on Instagram.

“Soooo this happened…#Yessss,” the 40-year-old actress wrote on Instagram, along with a picture of her engagement ring. The ring is absolutely stunning, an 8.5 carat cushion cut diamond (look how big it is!) made by Jason of Beverly Hills, according to Us Weekly. Dwyane apparently really knows how to go all out for his lady.
Dwyane also hopped on Instagram to adorably celebrate the engagement. “She said YES!!!” he wrote as the caption to the same photo Gabrielle posted.
There are no details yet on when the actress/athlete couple plans to actually tie the knot, but judging from the ring, we’re pretty sure it’ll be one of the best weddings of the year.

Dwyane and Gabrielle have been together since 2009. They’re just now becoming engaged, but it’s seemed that way for a long time — neither has ever been shy talking about the other in public.
“She makes my eyes sparkle,” Dwayne said on Oprah’s Next Chapter in the summer of 2013. “The biggest time she makes my eyes sparkle is when Zaire (Dwyane’s 11-year-old son from a previous marriage) comes home and homework is a little hard that day, so he’s stressing, and she goes to the table with him and she sits down until he gets it… And at that time my heart is smiling a little bigger that day because I know her love is deeper than just me.”
Aww! We’d put a ring on that too, Dwyane.
