Katy Perry performed her hit song “Unconditionally” on Dec. 5 in Milan during X Factor Italy. Though we were stunned by her vocals, it was her dress that completely captured our attention! The 29-year-old singer rocked the stage wearing a colorful, flower-covered dress that was sheer in certain parts. The starlet has taken ‘flower-child’ to a whole new level and we want YOU to decide whether you LOVE or LOATHE this dress!
Katy Perry’s ‘X Factor’ Italy Dress:
Katy loves to play dress up during her performances, but we are unsure about this particular look. The dress was three-dimensional and looks as though Katy’s body was covered only by flowers. Though a cool concept, was it right for a live performance?
Pop stars wearing objects on their bodies as clothes has become a major trend in the 21st century. Take Lady Gaga‘s infamous meat dress as a prime example! Katy decided to to pick flowers as her object of choice — but we can’t help but feel it’s just an unoriginal concept.
Katy did say that she was feeling under the weather, so maybe this colorful dress was supposed to help her feel better and lift her spirits. “I’m so deadly sick so you have to wash your hands after I touch you,” she told the host on the show. “I’m very happy to be here in Milan. I love Italy and I’m bringing my tour here next year, so I’m very excited to see you then as well.” We can’t wait to see what she shows off when she’s back in Italy!
Though this dress is an interesting concept, her body looks like it’s swallowed up by the flowers — it’s doing nothing for her amazing figure!
