Fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld is getting plenty of support from the lovely Kristen Stewart, who is such a ‘huge fan’ of the designer that she flew all the way from LA to attend his fashion show in Dallas, a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
When Kristen Stewart boarded a private jet in Van Nuys, Calif. on Dec. 9, many wondered if she was heading to London to visit Robert Pattinson. But it turns out the fashion lover was flying to Dallas, Texas to support her friend, the legendary Karl Lagerfeld, at his glamorous Coco Chanel Métiers d’Art Fashion Show on Dec. 10. How fun!
Kristen Stewart: Karl Lagerfeld’s #1 Fan Attends His Coco Chanel Fashion Show
Kristen and Karl are good friends, so when the fashion designer invited the actress to the ritzy gathering at Dallas’ Fair Park, she was eager to jump onboard.
“Kristen is a huge fan of Mr. Lagerfeld and was honored to be invited to such an extraordinary fashion event. She loves his style and quirky sense of humor. He gets her and she loves him for that,” a friend of Kristen’s tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
Kristen isn’t the only star who loves Lagerfeld. ELLE Canada tweeted on Dec. 9, “We’re in Dallas celeb spotting at the #Chaneldallas welcome dinner. So far: Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning, Lauren Hutton & Alexa Chung…”
At the event, Karl will screen his short film The Return, which is set in the 1950s, when famed French fashion designer Coco Chanel re-opened her couture house. Actress Geraldine Chaplin plays the role of the Coco in the mini-film, which is a sequel to Karl’s 18-minute short, Once Upon a Time. Karl’s fabulous fashion show will also showcase art deco architecture.
It sounds like Kristen is in for a real treat!
Will Kristen Visit Robert Pattinson In London?
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Rob reached out to Kristen to congratulate her after her film Camp X-Ray was selected to compete at the Sundance Film Festival in January, 2014.
“Rob reached out to Kristen to congratulate her for Camp X-Ray being selected for Sundance. They talked for awhile and by the end of the conversation he invited her to come see him in London,” a friend of Kristen’s told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Not sure if she’s 100 percent going to take him up on it, but she was just so happy.â€
