Ring those wedding bells! The famous Jackson sibling reportedly said “I do” to her longtime best friend, Jeffre, in a small ceremony in Los Angeles on Dec. 6. Congrats, Toy!
La Toya Jackson, sister to the late Michael Jackson, is officially off the market! The 57-year-old actress and reality TV star reportedly tied the knot with her longtime partner Jeffre Phillips in Los Angeles as her mother Katharine Jackson and Michael’s son, Prince, looked on in support.
La Toya Jackson & Jeffre Phillips Get Married
La Toya and Jeffre, who is La Toya’s longtime friend a business partner, exchanged their vows and said “I do” on Dec. 6, according to Radar Online. With only a few family members in attendance, the ceremony seemed to be intimate and private.
La Toya’s marriage to Jeffre may come as a shock to fans of her reality show, Life with La Toya. In one episode of the first season, La Toya went on several dates in hopes of “finding a boyfriend.” However, that episode was apparently fake, according to the National Enquirer. “She decided to pretend she’s looking for a boyfriend,” a source said, “but she’s been with Jeffre for years. Everyone who knows them personally knows they’re in a relationship.”
The source added that Jeffre went along with the episode because he wanted her show to do well. Now that’s true love — good thing you put a ring on it, Toy!
La Toya Jackson’s Traumatic Past
This is La Toya’s second marriage. She had previously been married her manager, Jack Gordon, under horrendous circumstances. Since separating from Jack, La Toya has gone on to reveal that after being tricked into marrying him in 1989, he terrorized, physically abused, and controlled her throughout the course of their marriage.
Thankfully, La Toya was finally able to escape the traumatic relationship after seven years. And now almost two decades after that horrible experience, it seems La Toya has finally been able to let another man in her life.
