More than three months after Lamar Odom was arrested for a DUI on Aug. 30, the troubled basketball star struck a plea deal with prosecutors and agreed to do three years of probation. Lamar will also have to attend an alcohol education class by June 9, 2014.

Lamar is finally facing the music after his shocking DUI arrest. In addition to his probation and alcohol classes, the NBA player will also have to pay $ 1,814 in fines and fees. Lamar’s driver’s license was also suspended for one year after he refused to take a blood alcohol test when police pulled him over on Aug. 30, according to TMZ.
Despite the harsh sentence, Lamar is looking forward to a fresh start.
“Any lawyer would have advised Lamar to plead ‘no contest’ on things like this,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He didn’t admit that he was guilty and he didn’t want a long, drawn-out trial or a some civil suit so this was the smartest and the fastest thing for him to do to put this behind him. It’s done now. He can move on with his life.”
Khloe Kardashian Plans To File For Divorce From Lamar Odom?
Sadly, a lot of damage has already been done. Lamar’s wife, Khloe Kardashian, has been carefully “calculating” her divorce plans for weeks, and HollywoodLife.com has learned that she wants to wait until after the holidays.
“The divorce plans are very calculated,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Not only does Khloe want to wait until after the holidays, she also wants to wait to see if Lamar will sign with an NBA team [because] she would want him to finish the season drama-free. Plus, she wants to work around the television show storylines. As crazy as this all sounds Khloe is business first, divorce afterwards.”
