Lamar Odom‘s relationship with Khloe Kardashian may be fractured beyond repair, but he isn’t going to let that happen to his relationship with his 15-year-old daughter Destiny. He’s even willing to look past her dissing his ex and his marriage on social media and going so far to say, “No one thought they were going to last.”
Lamar Odom: How He Really Feels About Daughter Destiny’s Rant
“Destiny has a right to say whatever she wants to say,” a source close to Lamar tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. And even if she’s saying those things on last.fm for the entire world to see, the source says Lamar “supports her.”
Lamar may not like hearing what his teenaged daughter has to say, but he understands why she’s lashing out. “His family always had to keep their mouths shut when he was married to Khloe. They didn’t have a voice,” the source adds. ”Lamar knows his daughter is venting, getting feelings off her chest and expressing herself.”
The source says that Lamar also can’t blame Destiny for slamming his marriage, because it kept him from seeing her as much. “She rarely saw him when he was tied up in that marriage. And when she did, it was awkward.”
Lamar Odom Reunites With His Daughter
Now that the marriage is officially over — and now that Destiny has gotten some things off her chest — she and Lamar are just one big, happy family. “You should see her,” the source says. “She’s overjoyed that Lamar is back and in her life for good.”
Which is good to hear. An initial report alleged Lamar had been upset about Destiny’s last.fm outburst, which on top of the divorce and everything else, would have just been too much to take.
It doesn’t appear that Lamar and Khloe are going to get back together, but at least there isn’t going to be any real friction between him and his children.
