The bob is back! Miley’s hair, which she’s been growing out for months, is finally at a length she can experiment with, and on Dec. 7, the singer stepped out on the red carpet looking absolutely stunning with a new conservative hairstyle. Do you love it or loathe it?
We’ve been waiting for this day since Miley Cyrus announced in late August that she was growing her hair out. The singer debuted a brand new look at the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas in Los Angeles on Dec. 7 — a classic bob haircut that’s a considerable departure from her previous punk rock style.
Miley Cyrus Debuts Bob Haircut
In one fell swoop, Miley has gone from grunge to glam. On the red carpet at The Shrine Auditorium, Miley’s now-iconic shaved sides and mohawk were nowhere to be seen, and in their place was an adorable, almost conservative bob haircut.
Her hair was parted from the middle and went down to her cheekbones. Perhaps with the aid of some extensions, Miley’s bob also featured a cute, immaculate set of bangs.
It’s really amazing what a haircut can do. For so long, Miley’s edgy look defined her and symbolized her shocking, no-fear persona. Now we may be headed into a new era for Miley. The more conservative haircut by no means takes us back to her Disney days — instead the haircut is a picture of elegance, high fashion, and playfulness.
Miley Cyrus Growing Her Hair Out
Miley ultimately made the decision to switch things up in August, when she told Kelly Osbourne in an interview that she was tired of her buzz cut. Miley admitted that she was growing her hair in preparation of a new style: “I’m secretly tugging on it every night and taking Viviscal, I’m not going to lie, but I’m going to rock it while I have it.”
We love what Miley came up with, now that her hair is long enough for a different cut. Now the question is, will Miley stick with this bob do or will she continue to grow her hair out and change things up?
