Paul Walker Is Still Alive? New Rumors Flood Twitter

With fans still reeling from Paul’s tragic Nov. 30 death, a new rumor began sweeping social media that the fallen actor was actually still alive. However, the possible reverse death hoax may just underline how truly missed Paul really is.

A rumor stemming from either misguided hope, confusion, or deranged humor swept Twitter on Dec. 6 — that Paul Walker was still alive. As an initial report claiming that Paul had survived his fiery car accident surfaced on the social media site, more and more mourning fans quickly latched onto it. But is there any truth to the rumor?

Fans began posting an unsourced article with the headline, “Paul Walker Death Hoax Dismissed Since Actor Is ‘Alive And Well,’” voicing their utter confusion and emerging hope:

As miraculous and joyous as it would be, unfortunately this rumor doesn’t seem to have any legs. Paul’s death was sadly confirmed by his rep on Nov. 30, and his family posted a tragic message also confirming it soon after on Facebook:

It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences. - #TeamPW

We may have an urge to wish that Paul was still alive, but that’s something that unfortunately cannot be changed at this point. Instead of making up rumors that only reinforce how sad Paul’s death is, we all just have to try to accept the truth and move on, while keeping the actor in our hearts forever.
