Paul Walker’s Death: Car Was Going At Least 90 MPH â€" Officials

Roger and Paul were reportedly going ‘at least twice’ the speed limit of 45 MPH on Nov. 30, when they died in a fiery car crash, authorities said.

The results from the autopsies are not yet available, but Paul Walker and Roger Rodas were reportedly going approximately 90 miles per hour, according to a statement Los Angeles County Sheriff’s detective Jeff Maag gave to People.

“For that car to disintegrate the way it did, speed, of course [was a factor], but something went wrong and it put them at an angle to the curb. There’s not a shadow of a doubt in my mind, it wasn’t driver error,” Antonio Holmes, a friend of both Roger and Paul and a car enthusiast told the mag.

According to the detective, there was no doubt that speed was a factor. It was “fair to say” Roger was driving “at least twice” the given speed limit, Jeff said. He also noted that it will take more information to figure the exact details out because the car is “exotic.”

“Porsche seems to think it has [a black box],” Jeff added. “They put them in all different locations [in the car]. We have to dig for it. We may have to send [it] to Germany to be downloaded, or perhaps we can plug it into another Porsche GT and be able to read it from that.”

If there is such box, formally known as the Event Data Recorder, they can find out the exact speed, as well as “all kinds of information 25 seconds before the collision and 5 seconds after.”

LA attorney Mychal Wilson, told HollywoodLife.com exclusively that they are searching for the box, and if they find it, they could answer the following questions:

Was the driver’s foot on the brake or gas pedal? And, if so, for how long? What was the speed of the vehicle during impact? Were seat belts buckled or unbuckled? Air bags deployed?
