Paul Walker’s Family ‘Stoic’ At Screening Of His Last Film, ‘Hours’

Paul Walker’s Family ‘Stoic’ At Screening Of His Last Film, ‘Hours’

The last film that Paul Walker finished opens to the public on Dec. 13, but his family attended an early, private screening of ‘Hours’ at a theater recently in La Canada Flintridge, Cali.

Paul Walker‘s family remembered the late actor by watching his last film, Hours. While his daughter, Meadow Walker was not present at the screening, the rest of the family had a lovely time watching him on the big screen.

“His family was very stoic,” a rep for the film told Us magazine. “But they enjoyed the film and had a really lovely evening.”

Meadow, 15, was not at the screening but actually saw it at Southwest Film Festival with Paul and his father, Paul Walker Sr.

“The first time I saw it, I took [Meadow],” he said at a roundtable discussion in November. “It was cool to watch the reaction because I’m proud of the work that I did because I told the truth the whole time. If people don’t like my performance in this, they just don’t like me because I’m putting it all on the line in this; it’s who I am.”

‘Hours’ Director: Paul Used Photos Of Meadow To Relate To Role

Hours was the first movie for director, Eric Heisserer and he couldn’t say enough positive things about the actor, 40, who passed away after a fiery car crash on Nov. 30. He even added that to get into the role of a father helping his daughter, Paul used pictures of Meadow.

“I’d asked him to bring baby pictures of Meadow,” Eric told CNN. “During some of the scenes where there was just a monologue by him to give to the baby in the incubator, we set the baby photos in the incubator so he could connect with his daughter that way.”

Eric also noted that for Paul, it was extremely important that his own father was proud of him — which we know from interviews that he definitely was.

“I knew those were sort of magic words I could tell him during a shoot. Those words of “Your father will be proud of you for this moment, for this scene” really elicited an emotional response from him, and I could tell it was because he’d always had that in the back of his mind,” Eric said.
