The family of Paul Walker celebrated his life on Dec. 14 at an emotional funeral in the Hollywood Hills. The family all leaned on one another and focused on how amazing Paul’s life was, a source who attended told HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
Paul Walker, 40, was remembered in an extremely emotional, intimate service where his family and Fast and the Furious costars gathered to pay their respects. They focused on the positive things from Paul’s life and didn’t discuss how he died, the source told us.
Paul Walker Burial: Funeral Was A Celebration Of His Life
“It was extremely intimate and even though it was a funeral people were in a somewhat joyful mood because they were all talking about Paul and sharing fun memories,” the insider told HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
It’s so nice that they could be in a joyful mood. His close family has had nothing but positive things to say about Paul since his death in interviews, so it’s sweet that they could share happy memories.
“Along with that, it was exactly what you would expect from a funeral, there were tears but it was a great sense of unity with everyone that was there since we all knew each other, everyone was there for each other,” the source said.
Paul Walker’s Family ‘Showed So Much Strength’ At Memorial
In the wake of the tragic day, his costar Tyrese Gibson posted a sweet black and white picture of the star, writing:

The source added that everyone was there for one another, and the family was extremely strong.
“His family was very strong and showed so much strength, everyone wanted to make sure they were OK and pretty sure that was achieved,” they continued. “It was a beautiful day where everyone was celebrating his life and not harping on how he died. It was great just to remember him with everyone.”
