Phil Robertson: Twitter Calls Out ‘Duck Dynasty’ Star For Being Gay

Phil Robertson was suspended from his hit show ‘Duck Dynasty’ after he made some appalling homophobic remarks to ‘GQ’, and of course, the Internet has responded in a variety of ways. Many are claiming to ‘stand by Phil’ on Twitter, but others seem to have gotten things a bit confused â€" they think Phil came out as gay!

Phil Robertson came out as a homophobe in a recent interview with GQ, but some members of the Internet community took the Duck Dynasty star’s comments a bit differently. Check out some of the strangest (and funniest) Phil-related tweets below!

Phil Robertson: Gay?

In case you happened to miss Phil’s remarks, let us enlighten you:

“Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there,” Phil says. “Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men. Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlersâ€"they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right… It seems like, to me, a vaginaâ€"as a manâ€"would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.”

So Phil’s views seem to be crystal-clear, but many members of the Twitter-sphere have responded with the opposite perspective â€" that Phil himself is gay. Of course most of these people are joking, but some seem to be rather confused about the nature of Phil’s suspension:

We agree with your sentiments Jacob, but unfortunately “choice” doesn’t seem to be something that Phil is particularly into. (Same goes for black people!)
