Selena posted a reflective message on Dec. 22 saying she’s the happiest she’s been in a long time and even hinted that her ex might have something to do with that. What do you think?
Selena Gomez has had a lot to be thankful for in 2013, but she also suffered through a good deal of heartbreak this year at the hands of Justin Bieber. But in a revealing Instagram post on Dec. 22, Selena seemed to suggest that she’s even happy about that part of her 2013. So has something changed between these former lovers?
Selena Gomez Says She’s Happy For Justin Bieber
Posting a picture of herself holding her baby sister, Gracie, Selena wrote, “I’m the happiest I’ve been in a while.. So blessed and thankful for the future, for release and to finally be happy for those I loved..”
First off, we’re glad to hear that Selena’s mood is better than it has been in a long time. Now, because of the last few words of her message, it seems clear that her relationship to Justin is a big factor in her happiness.
It doesn’t quite sound like Selena is hinting at another reunion — instead the message conveys a feeling of acceptance. It’s no secret that Selena has had trouble getting over Justin and moving on, but this message — especially how she says she’s “happy for those I loved” — shows that Selena has found some sort of inner peace.
There was also a hint of this on Dec. 20 when Selena liked an old photo of herself and Justin on Instagram. It’s like she’s letting all of those bitter breakup feelings go. Now we just wonder whether Selena actually spoke to Justin to achieve her current happy state — and if this newfound outlook could eventually lead to Selena and Justing getting back together.
Selena Gomez Getting Over Justin Bieber?
It’s certainly a turnaround for Selena, especially considering a source close to her told HollywoodLife.com exclusively on Dec. 18 that she may not even be emotionally ready to see Justin’s new movie, Believe.
Explaining that seeing Believe would be “torture” for Selena, the source said, “I’m sure Selena will be tempted to watch Justin’s movie but it would be way too painful for her at this point. She’s not over their breakup.”
Well it now seems like Selena has reached the light at the end of the tunnel, and she may finally be ready to move on.
