Lorde may have came out swinging, but it looks like she’s turned her feud with Taylor into a friendship — they were spotted having dinner together in Australia!
On Dec. 12, Taylor Swift and a few friends visited Hibachi Japanese Grill in Melbourne Australia — and one of those friends was 17-year-old singer, Lorde. Since the New Zealand singer dissed Taylor, this is the second time they’ve been spotted hanging out together!
Taylor Swift & Lorde Go To Dinner
Taylor was photographed sitting next to Lorde at the restaurant and it looks like they’ve definitely squashed any beef they once had.
“Taylor Swift is so flawless, and so unattainable, and I don’t think it’s breeding anything good in young girls,” she said to Metro magazine in September. However, in November Taylor and Lorde were spotted in New York City at Shake Shack!
So, it looks like their feud has turned into a friendship — but what about Selena Gomez? While it’s great Taylor’s taken the high road, after Lorde’s serious shade to Taylor’s BFF, it is kind of surprising.
Lorde & Selena’s Feud Continues
In September, Lorde referred to herself as a feminist and trashed Selena’s hit song. “The theme of her song is, “When you’re ready come and get it from me,” she said in a radio interview. “I’m sick of women being portrayed this way.”
Then when Selena was asked about the diss, she fired back!
While she said she was completely talented and admitted she covers “Royals” during her concerts, she made a good point telling Hot 99.5, “in my opinion it’s not feminism if you’re tearing down another artist.”
She also spoke spoke to Flaunt magazine, and made the same point.
“That’s not feminism. [Lorde is] not supporting other women. That’s my honest opinion, that’s what I would say to her if I saw her,†Selena said. “I actually covered her song in all of my shows that I’ve done so far. I’m not sure if I’m going to continue that.”
Maybe Taylor will bring them together and the three of them will record together! One can hope right?
