The nominations for the 56th annual Grammy Awards were revealed on Dec. 6, but Taylor managed to steal the show with a sultry, rocking performance of Harry diss song, “I Knew You Were Trouble.”
At this point, The Grammy Nominations Concert Live! is almost as big as the actual Grammy Awards. And at the star-studded event, where Taylor Swift picked up a few Grammy nominations herself, the singer easily had the best performance of the night.
Taylor Swift Performs “I Knew You Were Trouble”
With Taylor performing in Australia, the blonde beauty wasn’t able to make it to the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, where the Grammy noms concert was taking place. But thanks to technology, CBS was able to connect to Taylor’s concert from Sydney and broadcast her rendition of “I Knew You Were Trouble.”
And thank god for satellites, because Taylor looked red hot rocking out on stage Down Under. We’ve gotten used to Taylor’s performance of the Harry Styles diss song by now — where Taylor starts the song in an angelic white dress before tearing it off and getting flirtatious with her backup dancers in a sexy, sinister black number — but we could watch it every day.
It was nice to get the chance to become just another fan at one of Taylor’s sold-out shows. She had total control of her huge audience, and the live look-in allowed everyone to see just how big Taylor has become.
The concert atmosphere was amazing for her performance of “I Knew You Were Trouble,” and we were cheering just as loudly as Taylor’s Aussie fans.
Taylor Swift’s Big Year
2013 has been an enormous year for Taylor, so it only made sense to feature her on the Grammy nominations concert.
Remember, she kicked things off at the Grammys in Feb. 2013 with “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” where she overtly dissed Harry. Since then, her album Red has been certified platinum four times, and she was also honored with the Pinnacle Award — only the second recipient ever — at the 2013 CMA Awards. And oh yeah, she also got to sing “Livin’ on a Prayer” with freaking Prince William on Nov. 26!
