Danica and Trace absolutely nailed it as hosts for Dec. 10′s 4th Annual American Country Awards! Re-live the best moments from the show below!
We were so excited when we first heard the news that country star Trace Adkins would co-host this years ACAs with none other than NASCAR driver extraordinare, Danica Patrick, and after watching the Dec. 10 show broadcast live from Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, we can officially say our excitement was well warranted! They rocked it!
Trace Adkins & Danica Patrick As American Country Awards Hosts — They Rocked
As much as we love Kristen Chenoweth, it was refreshing to see country crooner and ACAs hosting regular, Trace, 51, joined on the awards show stage by a new co-host and face, Danica, 31. Though Danica may be more comfortable behind the wheel of a fast NASCAR vehicle, she fit right into the hosting role and she and Trace really made a great and enjoyable pair!
From their opening skit where they played passengers in a car who were pulled over by an Elvis cop, to their first entrance onstage locked into one pair of handcuffs, they immediately set the tone that it was going to be a fun night!
Trace was his usual playful and soothing-voiced self, wearing all black topped off with a black cowboy hat and showing excellent chemistry with Danica right off the bat. And Danica really looked fierce too in her blue one-shoulder dress that showed off her fabulously tiny waist!

The dynamic duo breezed through the show, making some cute inside jokes, which added to the amusement of the night. One such instance was Trace coming out in a GoDaddy.com racing uniform with Danica sporting a glitter dress and cowboy hat — the pair teasing that they had “crossed into each other worlds.” So funny!
Another amazing moment of the night came in the form of “Danica’s Showgirl Debut,” where the lady racer strutted her stuff with a group of leggy showgirls in a blinged-out crystal leotard and feathered headdress. It was super outgoing and entertaining, and showed how far Danica was willing to come out of her shell. What a great sport! And Trace was an even BIGGER sport, when he was spotted in the next segment sporting the EXACT SAME COSTUME! Obsessed.
Overall, the whole awards ceremony was complimented and uplifted by a job well done by both Trace and Danica, who really made a sterling and fantastic team! We hope to see them back next year!
