Vin Diesel Reveals Emotional Moment With Paul Walker’s Mom After Death

Vin Diesel Reveals Emotional Moment With Paul Walker’s Mom After Death

The ‘Fast & the Furious’ co-stars were like brothers, and in a heartbreaking Facebook post on Dec. 6, Vin revealed that after Paul’s tragic death, Paul’s mother consoled him just as much as he consoled her.

When Vin Diesel heard that his best friend, Paul Walker, had died in a fiery car accident on Nov. 30, he dropped everything and flew immediately back to California, where Paul’s mother lived. In his own words, what followed was a heartbreaking but touching display of love and compassion that proved just how much Paul meant to his friends and family.

Vin Diesel’s Touching Visit To Paul Walker’s Mom

“When I heard, I immediately flew back to California, and went directly from the plane to his mother’s house,” Vin started a post on his Facebook page on Dec. 6. Along with the heartfelt note was a picture of Vin and Paul enjoying each other’s company.

Vin continued on, recounting how Paul’s family was there for him just as much as he was there for them:

I thought they needed my strength, but realized when I got there and broke down before his family, that it was I who needed theirs.

His mother hugged me and said I am so sorry… I said sorry? You’re the mother who lost a son?… She said yes, but you lost your other half…

Wow. That’s extremely powerful stuff.

Vin Diesel ‘Inconsolable’ After Paul Walker’s Death

It’s amazing that Vin and Paul’s mother could support each other — as a source told HollywoodLife.com exclusively shortly after Paul’s death, Vin was “inconsolable” over losing his best friend.

Hardly able to talk about the loss, he went on to tweet, “Brother I will miss you very much. I am absolutely speechless. Heaven has gained a new Angel. RIP.”

Paul’s death is still so hard to swallow. But it’s touching, emotional stories like Vin’s that makes it clear that Paul did not pass away in vain — he will always be properly remembered. And his friends and family will always have each other.
