Before Paul Walker was killed in a tragic car crash in Santa Clarita, Cali., he was volunteering with his charity Reach Out Worldwide — and couldn’t have been happier, an eyewitness told HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
Paul Walker, 40, will always be remembered as the kind-hearted man he was. Before he sadly died in a horrific car accident on Nov. 30, he was enjoying a charity event with his daughter, girlfriend and a ton of friends and supporters — and he was extremely grateful for the support, an eyewitness told HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
Paul Walker Was ‘Overjoyed’ Before Death
“Paul was just so overjoyed and full of gratitude,” Jim Torp, 52, told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. ”His charity had raised about $ 1 million worth of toys and games. It was just an incredible night full of so much generosity and that is what Paul and Roger were all about. They were both extremely kind hearted men.”
Paul and his business partner, Roger Rodas, 38, were at Reach Out Worldwide’s event to raise money for those who were affected by the typhoon in Philippines. Paul had been very involved in the charity, and was extremely sweet to those who approached him as well.
A fan, Bill Townshend posted a photo just hours before the accident of he and Paul smiling together at the event.
Paul Was Having ‘A Great Day’
“He had been so happy,” Bill said in an interview with E!. “He was there at the event and had managed to raise thousands and so many people had brought toys. So many people had come out to support the charity and he was with his friends. It was a great day for him. He was so overwhelmed to have so much support.”
Paul has always been an extremely positive man who others admired.
“You know, all that really matters is that the people you love are happy and healthy,” Paul told Flaunt magazine in an interview. “Everything else is just sprinkles on the sundae.”
Both Paul and Roger’s families are in our thoughts.
