‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Movie Begins Filming â€" See The First On-Set Pic

The author of the erotic novel tweeted ‘action,’ along with the very first on-set photo.

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are officially ready to rumble! Filming began on the Fifty Shades of Grey movie Dec. 1, with author E.L. James sharing the first official shot on Instagram. Of course, in cryptic E.L. fashion, the photo doesn’t exactly reveal anything about the movie — but at least we know we’re that much closer to the Red Room of Pain.

‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’: Full Cast Revealed

Charlie Hunnam was originally set to play Christian Grey, but the Sons of Anarchy star backed out at the last minute, leaving the door open for Once Upon A Time‘s Jamie Dornan to fill his shoes. HollywoodLife.com has been told that Dakota was “excited” about meeting Christian 2.0, and the pair has incredible on-screen chemistry.

Then came the rest of the film’s cast, beginning with True Blood‘s Luke Grimes as Christian’s brother Elliot, and followed closely by Victor Rasuk as Jose.

Additionally, Eloise Mumford was tapped to play Anastasia’s BFF Kate, with Max Martini later added as Christian’s bodyguard Jason.
