The late actor was so proud that his daughter had taken on a major family trait early on in her childhood: fearlessness. He even proudly called the young teen a ‘warrior!’
Paul Walker sang his praises of his 15-year-old daughter Meadow Walker in many ways, but one thing he particularly admired about her was her adventurous attitude and ability to adapt to any new experience. Though his untimely Nov. 30 death was obviously not an experience he would have ever wanted her to go through, that same strength will be what helps her through such an awful emotional time.
Paul Walker: ‘Warrior’ Daughter Meadow Took On Family’s Adventurous Trait
Paul was so impressed by his teenage daughter’s resilience. “She’s a warrior, that one,” Paul told People magazine of Meadow in 2011, when she moved into his Calif. home and took on a new school. “She has no difficulty making friends. She’s more of a free roamer, excited for the next experience.”
This family trait is something Paul was proud his daughter developed.
“My grandfather [professional boxer "Irish" Billy Walker] wasn’t afraid of anything,” Paul told People. “My dad [Paul Walker Sr.] and me, the same thing. It was passed on.”
Paul Walker: ‘Couldn’t Stand Being Away From’ Daughter Meadow
Because of his growing relationship with his teenaged daughter, “he was the happiest he’d ever been,” his friend, producer Brandon Birtell, told People. The happiness was all because of “his daughter and the clarity that brought into his life.”
“He liked the freedom of having no roots, but she was the only thing he couldn’t stand being away from,” Brandon said.
Our continued thoughts are with Paul’s family, and we hope Meadow’s “warrior” quality and her father’s proud words will help her through this difficult time.
