Paul Walker Autopsy Delayed, Body Unidentifiable
Paul and Roger, 38, were leaving a fundraising event for the Philippines held by their foundation, âReach Out World Wide,â when Roger lost control of the Porsche GT car he was driving and struck a tree.
â[The car] was engulfed in flames,â eyewitness and friend Antonio Holmes said. âThere was nothing. They were trapped. Employees, friends of the shop. We tried. We tried.â
Paul and Roger, Paul’s friend and business partner, were both pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Paul was reportedly unable to escape the Porsche â" which was being driven by Roger â" as it violently burst into flames. As a result, the 40-year-old actorâs body was rendered nearly unidentifiable, according to TMZ. Roger’s body is reportedly also unrecognizable.
It’s just heartbreaking to have lost two young men so suddenly, and to see the severity of the accident in the video only makes things worse.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Paul and Rogerâs friends and family during this difficult time.
