On Dec. 4, the Los Angeles County Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner released the official autopsy report, showing that Paul died of traumatic and thermal injuries on Nov. 30 in his tragic car crash.
As Paul Walker‘s family, friends and fans continue to mourn their loss, the autopsy results were released on Dec. 4., a day later than they were scheduled for. Read on to find out the cause of death of Paul and the driver, Roger Rodas.
Paul Walker’s Autopsy Results Revealed
The autopsy conducted by Los Angeles County Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner showed that the driver of the car, Roger, 38 died of multiple traumatic injuries. Paul, 40, was died of “combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries.”
The injuries occurred due to automobile versus fixed objects, which would be the trees and the pole that they hit. Both deaths have been ruled an accident.
There will be toxicology reports for both men killed, that will be available in six to eight weeks.
After the fatal crash, the bodies of both Paul, 40, and his business partner Roger Rodas, 38, were unidentifiable, according to TMZ. They completed the autopsy on Dec. 3, according to AP.
Paul & Roger’s Autopsies Were Delayed
“Weâve been extremely busy here. The only time we would put someoneâs autopsy on security hold is at the request of the police department or at our own request,” Lt. Corral said.
The autopsies were on hold because the dental records of Paul and Roger were not yet available because of the intensity of the crash.
Paul and Roger hit four trees and a lamp post in Santa Clarita, Cali. while on a test drive. They were in the middle of a charity event Paul was hosting to raise money for those affected by the Philippines storm.
