This story just gets worse and worse. A new report claims that the explosion caused by the accident that killed Paul Walker was so bad that his body was burned to point of being unrecognizable.
An autopsy following Paul Walker‘s death is reportedly being on hold until a coroner can get his dental records, because the grisly car accident and subsequent explosion on Nov. 30 so severely damaged the actor’s body.
Paul Walker & Roger Rodas’ Bodies Unidentifiable
Paul was reportedly unable to escape the Porsche GT he was in — which was being driven by friend and business partner, Roger Rodas, 38 – as it violently burst into flames. As a result, the 40-year-old actor’s body was rendered nearly unidentifiable, according to TMZ. Roger’s body is reportedly also unrecognizable.
The coroner will reportedly need Paul and Roger’s dental records to properly identify their bodies. He or she cannot proceed with an official autopsy until the records are delivered, which reportedly won’t be until later in the week.
Paul Walker’s Tragic Car Accident
Paul and Roger were leaving a fundraising event for the Philippines held by their foundation, “Reach Out World Wide,” when Roger lost control of the car and struck a tree. The Porsche they were in then immediately burst into flames.
“It was engulfed in flames,” eyewitness and friend, Antonio Holmes, said. “There was nothing. They were trapped. Employees, friends of the shop. We tried. We tried.”
Paul and Roger were both pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
It is just heartbreaking to have lost two young men so suddenly; and to learn the severity of the accident only makes things worse.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Paul and Roger’s friends and family during this difficult time.
