Paul Rodas’ young son bravely jumped into action to try to save his father after he was involved in a deadly Nov. 30 crash. HollywoodLife.com learned EXCLUSIVELY that the driver’s 8-year-old boy ran to try to pull his dad and passenger Paul Walker from the car before the flames subsided.
Paul Walker and Roger Rodas were tragically killed in a Nov. 30 car crash, and even though the horrific accident was gruesome and shocking, HollywoodLife.com learned that Roger’s 8-year-old son immediately rushed to his dad’s aid.
Paul Walker Crash — Roger Rodas’ Son Tried To Save Dad After Crash
Roger’s young son tried to do everything he could to save his father, even though the Porsche Carrera GT the men were driving in had exploded into flames following a crash.
“I tried to stop Roger’s 8-year-old son from running to the crash site, but it was too late, he had already darted out,” Jim Torp, an eyewitness at the scene, told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.”My son immediately drove over to the crash site and was the first person to use a fire extinguisher to try [to] put out the fire. He saw the car explode.”
Still, before the flames had even fully subsided, Roger’s son “had jumped the fence and gone over, he was trying to get his dad out,” Jim told The Daily Mail. ”There was nothing he could do.”
Paul Walker & Roger Rodas’ Tragic Car Crash
Paul, 40, and Roger, 38, were involved in their car crash after leaving a fundraising event for Philippine typhoon relief held by their foundation, Reach Out World Wide. Both men’s children, including Paul’s 15-year-old daughter, Meadow Walker, were at the charity event.
