Victoria’s Secret Is Not Firing Jessica Hart â€" The Truth

There’s no cat fight on the catwalk here! Although rumors swirled that the brand was done working with the model after she dissed Taylor Swift’s performance, the brand is setting the record straight.

Jessica Hart‘s future with the lingerie brand is NOT in jeopardy, despite rumors that the model was on the outs with Victoria’s Secret after she admitted that she didn’t think Taylor Swift “fit” in the 2013 runway show. The massive retailer is setting the record straight and debunking the claims in a statement released to HollywoodLife on Dec. 3.

“There is no truth to the rumors that Jessica Hart has been fired or that she will no longer work with the brand. As you will see, she was a great part of our show and we look forward to continuing to work with her. As previously reported, we at Victoria’s Secret and all those involved, including Jessica Hart, were thrilled to have Taylor be a part of the show. We look forward to sharing her performances next week during the television special,” Ed Razek, President and Chief Marketing Officer of the brand, said in a statement.

While it looks like Jessica’s words are coming back to haunt her, Victoria’s Secret was quick to immediately jump to her defense and clarify her statement. Mr. Razek spoke out on behalf of the model, to US magazine on Nov. 18, saying, “I have personally been in contact with Jessica Hart and she said she was ‘wildly misinterpreted’ and that she thought Taylor was ‘amazing,’” he said. ”She is stunned that anyone would think differently. And that’s something we can all agree on.”

The model is currently still working with the brand and is scheduled to attend a screening of the highly anticipated show on Dec. 10, along with other models and Angels who graced the catwalk.
