Demi Lovato proved she deserves her seat on The X Factor‘s judges panel Nov. 28, taking the stage for an electrifying performance of her latest single, “Neon Lights.”

Dressed in a tasteful — but still totally sexy — ensemble, Miz Lovato lit up the entire X Factor studio, energizing the crowd with her powerhouse vocals.

She also tweeted her excitement about her live performance shortly before the episode began:

“More #xfactor tonight!! I’m performing #neonlights!!!!! #happythanksgiving”

Of course, Demi doesn’t just inspire us with her incredible performances; she also uses her words to offer comfort to fans who might be going through hard times. She recently released a book, Staying Strong: 365 Days A Year, which she hopes will provide encouragement to troubled readers.

“It can bring together people from all over the world — different cultures from different backgrounds,” Demi recently told Rolling Stone about her new book. “Everyone can relate in some shape or form because we’re all human beings with heart and soul.”

Josh Levi Eliminated From ‘The X Factor’

Sadly, Demi’s performance only briefly distracted us from the crushing elimination to come — which ended up being Josh Levi. After a wild sing-off with Rion Paige and a split-decision from the judges, it was up to America… and America chose Rion.
