Ian Watkins found fame as the lead singer of the popular ’90s band Lostprophets — but sickeningly, he was also a pedophile and reportedly wanted to sexually abuse two fans’ babies, saying he wanted to “cross the line.”
Ian Watkins Pleads Guilty To 11 Charges Of Sexually Abusing Children
The Welsh singer appeared at the Cardiff Crown Court in Wales on Nov. 26 and faces serious jail time for 11 counts of child abuse. The court also reported details of a 17-minute video where Ian performed a sex act on the baby, according to BBC News. Ian claimed that he had no recollection of making the video, because he said he had just used crack cocaine and crystal meth and didn’t remember anything.
During the trial, Ian allegedly planned to “teach” the children he abused how to take drugs, signifying that drug use was a large part of his abuse toward children.
He also reportedly watched one of his fans abuse her baby on Skype, and told her he wanted to use the baby for “sex,” and wanted the mother and child as a “slave duo.”
Ian Watkins Met With Underage Fans To Sexually Abuse Them
Ian also met with young female fans in hotel rooms for sex and even called one girl, dressed in a school uniform, his “underage slut.”
There’s also footage of Ian having sex with a 16-year-old fan. Police have called for other victims that were sexually abused to come forward.
Ian’s former bandmates responded to his horrifying situation in Oct., and said they were “coming to terms with our heartache” since his arrest. They also said they would no longer record or sing as the Lostprophets.
Ian and the two mothers who conspired to abuse their children will be sentenced on Dec. 18.
