Lynn said she watched Andy die with her own eyes, reports TMZ. She said that she was in the hospital room with Andy when he passed away of lung cancer on May 16, 1984 in West Hollywood at the age of 35.

“I was in the hospital room. I was there. They would have had to switch bodies,” she stated.

Lynn also thinks the woman who claimed to be Andy’s daughter on Nov. 11 at the Gotham Comedy Club in NYC is just trying to maintain the theory that Andy could be alive.

Andy’s brother, Michael Kaufman, took the stage at the comedy club for the annual Andy Kaufman Awards where he gave a speech revealing that Andy was alive and well â€" and had a daughter.

In a speech full of rambling, a woman who claims to be the (late?) comedian’s daughter explained just where her father is â€" and that no, he isn’t dead.

“I’m not trying to prove anything,” she started the speech with, that was posted by TMZ. “He didn’t tell me to say anything. I just know he’s so excited about this.”

She also said that he actually considered coming to the awards, but decided against it at the last minute. An audience member asked what he’s been up to, to which the alleged daughter said that the was a “stay at home” father and a “great dad.”

Andy reportedly told many friends throughout his life that he wanted to fake his own death. He has one known daughter, Maria Bellu-Colonna, who was born out of wedlock to Andy and his high-school girlfriend, and was placed for adoption.
