A judge has ordered Chris to spend 90 days in anger management rehab after the singer allegedly got violent during his two-week rehab stint at a facility in Malibu, Calif.
After Chris Brown was reportedly thrown out of rehab for a violent outburst, the LA County Probation Department recommended that Chris, 24, do live-in anger management rehab instead, TMZ is reporting. The judge agreed, slapping Chris with a three-month sentence. Read on for all the details.
Chris Brown: Anger Management Rehab Ordered By Court After Violent Outburst
Chris and his lawyer, Mark Geragos, attended a court hearing on Nov. 20 about the 2009 assault on his ex Rihanna –Â but sadly, things did not work out in Chris’ favor.
The judge is cracking down on the case after Chris’ violent behavior in rehab reportedly forced the X artist to leave the facility early and enter an out-patient program on Nov. 13. This time, the judge is ordering Chris to check into rehab at an L.A. County facility that must be approved by the Probation Department.
Chris will have to submit to drug testing at the facility, as well as take any medications he is prescribed there.
Chris will be permitted to fly to Washington, D.C. for court hearings on his criminal assault case against Isaac Adams Parker, whom he allegedly punched in the face. Chris will attend a hearing in Washington, D.C. for that case on Nov. 27.
The LA judge also wants a report on that incident, which could lead to Chris’ probation in the Rihanna case being revoked — which could mean jail time for Chris.Â
Chris Brown: Will He Go To Jail?
Sources told TMZ that the D.A. is hoping that Chris’ probation will be revoked and he will go to jail, so live-in rehab could be his last chance to turn his life around.
At least we know Chris is trying. While in rehab last time, a friend of his told HollywoodLife.com that he was working on himself and getting better in the facility.
“Considering everything thatâs taken place, Chris is doing well. Heâs working on himself,” a source said. “Clearly heâs staying out of trouble because heâs not in the streets and partying. So yes, yes heâs doing quite well.”
When he left rehab, his rep let us know that he was ”continuing his rehab program as an outpatient and is also completing his community service in the Los Angeles area.”
We hope the live-in rehab will help Chris resolve his issues once and for all because we would hate to see him behind bars!
