Harry Styles & Niall Horan Comfort Alex & Sierra After ‘X Factor’ Drama

Harry Styles & Niall Horan Comfort Alex & Sierra After ‘X Factor’ Drama

The seasoned ‘X Factor’ veterans shared words of wisdom with romantic hopefuls Alex & Sierra, and HollywoodLife.com has all the details.

As former X Factor contestants themselves, the boys of One Direction are all-too-familiar with the pressure of performing — and being judged — on live, national television. So when Harry Styles and Niall Horan caught finalist Sierra Deaton looking upset after some particularly harsh comments Nov. 20, the lads knew exactly how to cheer her up.

Sierra’s boyfriend and singing partner, Alex Kinsey, told HollywoodLife.com exclusively about the couple’s encounter with the 1D duo:

[Sierra] was visibly upset. I told her, ‘Take a minute in the bathroom, fix your make up and try to relax.’ So I’m walking her to the bathroom and Niall is there, and he sees that she’s upset. So he’s comforting her, hugging her and talking to me. He said, ‘Don’t take things too tough. Make sure that you’re positive and confident and, next week, just come back and kill it!’ He’s a great guy. He and Sierra ended up slow dancing together at one point! We took a cool picture of me with my arms crossed, looking at them angrily. It was great! They are just cool guys. They were at one point in the same position as us. And they are still just those guys.

Harry Styles: Alex & Sierra Were ‘Incredible’

Alex was also referring to Niall’s bandmate Harry, who gave the finalists his own words of encouragement after their performance.

“We’re walking off stage, and Harry comes up behind us and goes, ‘You guys, that was brilliant!’” Alex told us. “‘We loved it. You guys did such a good job with that song!’ That was incredible that he would go out of his way to say that to us.”

Those were really kind words from Harry, especially considering Alex and Sierra took a serious gamble by performing One Direction’s “Best Song Ever.”

“We knew [the producers] wouldn’t let us go out there doing a botchy version, or something the boys wouldn’t like,” Sierra explained. “So it wasn’t that we were worried about.”
