Newlyweds Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock wasted no time expanding their family! One week after Kelly hinted at her pregnancy in an interview with Jay Leno, she officially announced on Nov. 19 that she and Brandon are expecting their first child together!
That didn’t take long! Kelly Clarkson and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, who tied the knot on Oct. 20, have been “trying like rabbits” for a baby, and it looks like their hard work paid off! Kelly Clarkson Baby Plans: ‘We’re Trying Like Rabbits’ To Get Pregnant
On The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Nov. 11, Kelly revealed that she and Brandon were “trying, trying, trying” to get pregnant!
“[We want a baby] like now! Practice makes perfect!” Kelly told Jay on his late night show. “We do, we do. We’re trying, trying, trying.”
Helping out with Brandon’s children, Savannah, 11, and Seth, 7, has made Kelly want to be a mom more than ever. “I never wanted kids before, but now I want, like, five,” Kelly told Jay.
Jay interpreted Kelly’s giggles as a possible sign she was hiding something, so he asked, ”are you pregnant now?”
“I always get these stars who come on and go, ‘I’m thinking about having a baby,’ and then the next week they go on Ellen and announce it there,” Jay joked. “So I’m asking you, are you pregnant? Remember: you’re under oath!”
Kelly did not really say anything one way or the other:Â ”We are not announcing anything right now!” she offered. It looks like Jay was right!
