Oh, how the mighty have (almost) fallen! Kelly Ripa took a spill on the red carpet at the CNN Heroes tribute in New York City on Nov. 20, while ‘Girls’ star Allison Williams cracked up in the background.
Kelly Ripa, 43, is known for her sweet — sometimes goofy — on-air demeanor on Live with Kelly and Michael, so we’re sure she’ll recover from her red carpet mishap. But should Girls star Allison Williams, 24, have held it back a little out of respect for one of the most powerful women in media?
Kelly Ripa’s Big Fall
Kelly is a petite lady, so we can’t blame the 5’3″ star for adding a few extra inches with those black platform pumps. But her fancy footwear proved to be her downfall, literally, when she stumbled and nearly fell face-first into the fluffy red carpet during the CNN Heroes: All Star Tribute, which was held at the American Museum Of Natural History in New York.
Thankfully, Kelly’s years of experience as a live TV host have prepared her for the worst, so she quickly saved face and walked it off like nothing had ever happened, gleefully snapping photos with the likes of Mariska Hargitay and Alan Cumming as she made her way down that pesky carpet. We’re just happy she didn’t sprain one of her tiny little ankles as she fell!
Allison Williams’ Big Laugh
Girls star Allison has become a star in her own right, but maybe the 5’6 beauty should have spent less time cracking up (though people falling down is occasionally funny) and more time helping out! Kelly is a tiny little lady, Allison â€" you could have been her knight-ess in shining armor!
