Miley Cyrus may have laid low in bed on her actual 21st birthday but she got the call she wanted, HollywoodLife.com learned exclusively.
Miley Cyrus celebrated her big day on Nov. 24 after the American Music Awards with a huge bash at Beacher’s Madhouse. While Liam Hemsworth wasn’t in attendance, he was invited and even reached out to her on the big day to wish her all the best.
Liam Hemsworth Wished Miley Cyrus A Happy Birthday
“The recent contact he has had with her was to wish her Happy Birthday but that is about it,” a source close to the “We Can’t Stop” singer told Hollywoodlife.com exclusively. Miley’s birthday was on the 23rd, but she waited until the 24th to really celebrate after closing the show at the AMAs with an amazing, sexy, purring performance.
“Liam has been made aware of the performance and he hasn’t seen it yet, but has heard about it,” the source told us about Miley’s cat-filled performance of “Wrecking Ball.” His loss, for sure — that was an amazing way to end the night!
Miley Was ‘Hoping’ For Liam To Show Up At Birthday Bash
While it must have been nice for Miley to get a call from him, we know it wasn’t exactly what she wanted. On Nov. 1, we learned that they were actually talking again and Miley was thrilled.
“Miley and Liam talking has led her to invite him to her birthday festivities since when they were together they talked about her 21st birthday for quite awhile, so she is hoping and expecting him to show up,” the source revealed.
So, while she was probably let down he didn’t show up for the big day, it appears she still had a great time — it’s Miley! She always has fun!
