A new police report revealed on Nov. 25 said 20-year-old Adam Lanza had a fascination with school shootings. He had even played a computer game that simulated a school shooting before acting it out.
Adam Lanza played a computer video game called “School Shooting” before carrying out a massacre and his own suicide at Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec. 14, 2012, a detail which was released nearly one year after the tragedy. In the game, players enter a school and randomly target teachers and students, which police believe Lanza did at the Newtown, Conn. school.
Adam Lanza: School Shooting Video Game Played By Sandy Hook Gunman
Police found that Lanza had played a computer game called âSchool Shootingâ before carrying out a horrible mass shooting at the Connecticut elementary school.
He “also had clippings of newspaper articles from 1891 that detailed the shooting of schoolchildren,” reported the NYPost. His Internet browsing history and bookmarks included tabs on mass murder, firearms, ammunition, computer games, and politics.
Police Say Adam Lanza Intentionally Committed School Massacre
The new police report revealed that the Lanza alone was the perpetrator of the crime, and that he had planned out his actions before entering the school. âIt is the conclusion of this Stateâs Attorney that the shooter acted alone and was solely criminally responsible for his actions of that day,â the report said.
Police said that Lanza âintentionally committed horrendous crimes, murdering 20 children and 6 adults in a matter of moments, with the ability and intention of killing even more,” and planned all of his actions, including his suicide after police responded to the scene, according to the report.
