‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Casts Eloise Mumford As Anastasia’s BFF Kate

First, we learned that Dakota Johnson will be the Anastasia Steele to Jamie Dornan‘s Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie — and now we know who she’ll be sharing all her sex stories with! Eloise Mumford, who recently appeared in the Miley Cyrus movie So Undercover, has been tapped to play Anastasia’s roommate Kate Kavanagh, HollywoodLife.com‘s sister site Variety is reporting.

If Eloise looks familiar to you, it’s also possible you’ve seen her in one of her many TV roles. She’s appeared on episodes of Law & Order, Crash, Mercy and more.

The news of Eloise’s casting comes shortly after we learned that Victor Rasuk will be playing Anastasia’s pal Jose Rodriguez, while True Blood‘s Luke Grimes will fill the role of Christian’s brother Elliot.

For those unfamiliar with the plot of E.L. James‘ erotic novel, Kate and Anastasia are long-time BFFs, having roomed together for four years at Washington State University Vancouver. An aspiring journalist from a conservative family, she quickly finds herself entangled in the Gray family… in more ways than one. She’s also, personality-wise, the complete opposite of Miz Steele — bubbly, outgoing and, most importantly, blonde!
