The fam’s all together! With Angelina set to receive a prestigious humanitarian award at the 5th annual Governors Awards on Nov. 16, both her hubby and her oldest son came along to show their support.
It was a cute and touching scene at the Governors Awards on Nov. 16 when the usually unflappable Angelina Jolie took the stage to accept a humanitarian award. In a short-sleeve black Atelier Versace gown, the 38-year-old mother of six looked absolutely stunning, even as she was on the verge of crying tears of joy.
Angelina Jolie Honored At Governors Awards
Angelina looked extremely touched and honored to be receiving the huge award as she began her speech. “Mad, I’m not gonna cry. I promise, and I won’t embarrass you,” she joked to her 12-year-old son, who was looking more grown up than ever in a slick black tuxedo.
“You and your brothers and your sisters are my happiness. And there is never a greater honor in this world than being your mom,” Angelina continued.
The actress then went on to talk about her well-documented, tireless work as a philanthropist:
I came into this business young and worried about my own experiences, my own pain. And it was only when I began to travel and look at life beyond my home that I understood my responsibility to others. And I’ve met survivors of war and famine, rape. I’ve learned what life is like for most people in this world. And how fortunate I was to have food to eat and a roof over my head, a safe place to live and the joy of having my family safe and healthy. And I have realized how sheltered I have been. And I was determined, never to be that way again.
It’s safe to say Angelina accomplished that goal, and you could tell how much it meant for her to have that fact acknowledged at the Governors Awards.

The ceremony, which also featured appearances by Colin Farrell, Harrison Ford, Amy Adams, and many more, was also a chance for the Pitt-Jolie family to spend some much-needed time out together.
In fact, it was the first time Angelina and Brad were spotted together since the World War Z premiere in Tokyo on July 29 — three months ago!
They appeared to be making up for lost time, as Angelina and Brad shared an intimate kiss on the red carpet and were then seen being very affectionate during the actual event, according to Us Weekly.
